How Appointment Booking Works at Our Practice

We are a triage-based practice, which means our ultimate goal is to make booking an appointment as easy as possible, ensuring you see the right person at the right time.
To help you get the care you need, here is a breakdown of how our booking systems work:

️ Routine Appointments
Booking Ahead: Our routine appointments open 2 weeks in advance.
How to Book: You can request a routine appointment via eConsult or by telephone.
Our Target: We always do our best to book routine requests within 2 weeks. However, during exceptionally busy periods, this wait time may slightly exceed 2 weeks.
Waitlist: If we are fully booked, we will place you on a waitlist. Our team will contact you directly with available options as soon as they open up, so you don't have to keep ringing back.

 Same-Day Emergencies & 7-Day Urgent Appointments
How to Request: These can be submitted via eConsult or by telephone.
Clinical Triage: Our reception staff will take your information and pass it directly to the On-Call Duty GP. Appointments are triaged based on clinical need, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
Next Steps: The GP will review your case and will either call you back, or offer a same-day or 7-day urgent appointment.
Top Tip: We advise ringing or submitting your request in the first half of the day. This allows our clinicians to plan the day appropriately and safely manage daily demand.

 Home Visits
Eligibility: Home visits are strictly for housebound patients only and are triaged based on medical urgency.
Cut-off Time: Please submit all home visit requests before 11:00am on the day. We always try our absolute best to meet demand.

⚠️ A Reminder on Emergencies

We are not an emergency service. If you feel your symptoms are life-threatening or require immediate emergency assessment, please contact 999 straight away.
Your Feedback Matters We regularly review our booking processes to improve our service, and we truly appreciate your ongoing feedback!

E-consults - Any eConsult received during core hours (8am - 6.30pm) will be acted on the same day, outside of core hours you will be contacted the next working day.
